sweet cinnamon basil



never thought I would see any herb flowering in my garden..

but it did!

and I'm so thrilled to bits

presenting my cinnamon basil! :)

tadaa..




tiny yet dainty sweet flower..






from this tiny pot which I bought from the supermarket 3 months ago!





if you are wondering if it taste like cinnamon..
it has the faint scent of cinnamon
but tastes like sweet basil

  2. I love basil and cinnamon taste as well Ash!
    I planted its seed in early summer and now have a pot with large basil 'wood'!
    When I cook salad I use 4-5 leaves for it. Yummy!

    1. Did you say large? Wow! Can't imagine that but it is woody alright. I thought it was dying when I saw it turning 'wood'! LoL!! Yeah..I must remember to cook this often so that it gets pruned and bear more flowers! Oh thanks Nadezda for this reminder :)

  4. Hello Ash! It's been too long since my last visit :( Basil is one of our favourite summer plants. We make sure to accidentally brush by it every time we're in the garden. It's wonderful aromatherapy!

      Have you tried doing that to lemon thyme? Ooohh..you'll go crazy with its scent! And plant it next to your gate!
